     Direct from Alfred University, Matt and Dave (of Matt and Dave’s Clays of course)) bring you a porcelain that promises to be different than any porcelain you’ve ever used. Why? How? Science baby! As Alfred graduates, professors and ceramic engineers they isolated several factors that make porcelain finicky, difficult and basically a pain to work with.  And changed them! By creating a porcelain that acts more like a stoneware but retains the beauty and responsiveness of porcelain – they’ve birthed a true people’s porcelain! Chemically altering the plasticity and composition of the clay means you lose fewer pieces and have an expanded firing range – cone 7 to 10! C’mon you can’t beat that! Bracker’s Raku Kiln

 
We’re also very excited to carry Bracker’s amazing raku kiln. Lightweight and portable it’s designed to allow you to raku fire in your own backyard! This kiln is one of the best designs we’ve ever seen, utilizing ceramic fiber and metal fencing  – it’s a fraction of the weight of traditional kilns with layers of brick.  Easy to use and store, this kiln is a must for raku enthusiasts.
